Founded in 1908 and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Georgian Court University is a Catholic university that called Lakewood, New Jersey home. The historic 114-acre campus, which was once the estate of George Jay Gould, is considered a National Historic Landmark and is located between New York City and Philadelphia and just minutes from the Jersey Shore.
GCU offers a personalized education rooted in the Catholic tradition and designed to prepare students for meaningful careers, lifelong learning, and lives of purpose. With 30+ undergraduate majors, 10+ graduate programs, and a variety of certificates and certifications, students gain both a broad educational foundation and the specialized knowledge needed to succeed in today’s world.

The Office of Campus Ministry supports the spiritual life of the university through programs, service opportunities, retreats, and community events that help students explore faith, purpose, and vocation.
Campus Ministry partners with local organizations to serve the needs of the Lakewood community and beyond, creating opportunities for students to put Mercy values into action through service and outreach.
