1. Wellington, New Zealand
With a small size that makes it easy to navigate, Wellington——is full of exciting things to do. And with the second-largest metro area in New Zealand, it's perfect for those who want to visit other cities on the weekends. The mix of urban life and views of nature offer a unique combination that appeals to many students. Wellington boasts a creative culture known for its incredible food, coffee, and events. Music festivals, sporting events, and street festivals are easy to find in this lively little city. With great shopping, museums, and outdoor activities, it offers a truly unique experience. Want to make your friends back home jealous? Post some Instagram shots from high atop a lookout point on Mount Victoria. Want to see an aerial view of the city from a unique perspective? Take a ride on the famous Wellington Cable Car. Tour museums, get some exercise on a bike tour, or lounge on the sandy coastline of Oriental Bay. In Wellington, there's never a lack of things to do.

2. Dubrovnik, Croatia
If you enjoy the seaside, you're , home to some of the world's best beaches. Life in this Croatian city costs about half as much as cities in nearby Turkey, Austria, and Greece. Positioned on the Adriatic Sea, the city dates back to the 11th century. It offers stunning, majestic views and is a unique juxtaposition of old meets new. When you're not studying or lounging on the beach, take some time to visit the ancient city walls. History students are sure to love the ancient ruins and historic sites of the Middle Ages. Beautiful cityscapes make it a favorite destination and one of the best places to study abroad. In comparison to other Italian cities like Rome, Florence tends to have fewer tourists. It is, however, a hot spot that attracts college students from around the world. If you're looking to meet diverse new friends, Florence is an ideal choice.
